Wellbeing at Appin Park
“At Appin Park, wellbeing comes first — we nurture confidence, kindness, and resilience so every student can grow, belong, and thrive.”

EQ
At Appin Park, our EQ (Emotional Intelligence) program helps students understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and make thoughtful decisions. Through targeted lessons and daily practice, students develop skills in self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and problem-solving.
The program is integrated across the school, supporting social and emotional growth alongside academic learning. By fostering emotional intelligence, we empower students to be brave, kind, and curious, ready to face challenges with confidence and care for themselves and others.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club provides a welcoming space for students to start the day with a healthy meal and positive social time. Run by our helpful ES staff, it helps students feel energized and ready to learn.

Koorie Club
Koorie Club is an after-school program that provides an opportunity for our Koorie students to celebrate Indigenous culture, connection, and learning. Students participate in activities that explore culture, art, and traditions, while also developing friendships and a sense of community.
As part of the program, students have created an Indigenous bush garden, providing a living space to learn about native plants, culture, and the environment. The club fosters pride, respect, and understanding of First Nations heritage within our school community.
Buddies Program
The Buddies Program pairs Grade 5 students with Foundation students, giving them a chance to build friendships, share experiences, and support each other. Through activities, reading, and play, older students develop leadership and empathy, while younger students feel welcomed and confident in their new school environment. The program fosters a strong sense of community and connection across year levels.
